Aquatic therapy is a water exercise program that consist of a variety of exercises that are done in the pool and are designed to provide relief for several health issues including lower back pain and neck pain .  Water therapy exercise is especially helpful in cases where a land-based exercise program is not possible due to the intensity of pain, decreased bone density, disability or other factors.  Aqua therapy can improve flexibility, balance, muscle strength, assist with gait and locomotion, and promote relaxation.
