The YMCA of Cape Breton has immediate openings for infants (6 to 18 months) in its licensed Early Learning Centre at the Frank Rudderham Family YMCA, Charlotte Street.  The YMCA follows the national Playing to Learn emergent learning curriculum and features lots of outdoor play.  Health and safety protocols are in place to help keep your child safe.   Please contact Kim MacPhee at kim.macphee@cb.ymca.ca or 902 562 9622 ext. 2223.

  • Phase 3 Openings

    Our Family locker room is now open.  Our Pool and Adult Plus locker rooms will be opening Monday, August 24th.  Our pool will open on a Summer2 week schedule.  The fall pool schedule will be released soon.  All pool programs (lane swim, aqua fitness etc) will require a sign up.  Please register on 
    https://ymcaofcapebreton.punchpass.com (make sure to add your phone number).  Once you have registered you will be able to sign up for an pool or group fitness classes up to 24 hours in advance.

    We are also following the Nova Scotia portocol when it come to wearing a mask.  If you do not have a mask, we sell reuseable and disposable ones at our Membership Service Desk.

    The YMCA of Cape Breton – scheduled to reopen following our closures due to COVID-19 – We will  open our Membertou location and our ChildCare Monday, June 15 - Our Frank Rudderham location will reopen Friday, June 19 - Nova Scotia works will reopen Monday, June 29th - Following protocols made by Government of Nova Scotia.
