Keep your kids active and happy this summer while helping them grow and learn! YMCA Summer Day Camps offer kids age 5-12 (camper must have completed grade pre-primary) fun-filled days of activities like swimming, arts and crafts, games and much more. You can also expect themed weeks, and field trips. Watch their confidence grow as they make new friends, have fun and develop lifelong skills.
Summer Day Camp will be held at Club 55 in Prince Street, Sydney (Behind the YMCA)!
Summer Camp Registration Details
Summer Camp will run for 8 weeks this summer
Week 1: July 5-9
Week 2: July 12-16
Week 3: July 19-23
Week 4: July 26-30
Week 5: August 2-6
Week 6: August 9-13
Week 7: August 16-20
Week 8: August 23-27
Registration will happen via PunchPass at https://ymcaofcapebreton.punchpass.com
We encourage you to set up/ensure your account is up to date with PunchPass prior to attempting to register. You can check your account by logging in and clicking “My Profile” to make sure your contact information is accurate, as YMCA Staff will be using this information to contact you to confirm your spot in camp.
Registration will open for Members, Returning Campers and Campers requiring Special Supports on Monday, May 10th at 12pm. Registration for all other campers will open on Tuesday, May 11th at 12pm.
To register your camper, go to https://ymcaofcapebreton.punchpass.com and under “All Classes” search for “Summer Camp Week __” and choose the week you’d like to register for. From there, follow the instructions to register your child. You will need to complete this same process for each week you’d like to register for.
When registering multiple children in the same week of camp, you can use the same account to register for more than one child, just ensure that you are registering for the correct number of spots. Each spot will be registered with the same name. e.g. Jane Smith can register for slot one, two and three of Week 1. We will record your children’s names and ages at the confirmation step of the process!
Online registration only reserves your spot. Your spot will be confirmed once the following steps have been completed:

*A YMCA staff member will call you to take your $50.00 non-refundable admin fee and arrange payment for the balance. Method of payment accepted is credit card or pre-authorized debit only.
*Your spot will then be confirmed and you will receive a confirmation email from Janice. This email will include your payment plan.
If the week(s) of camp that you would like to register for are full, please email Janice.Curnew@cb.ymca.ca with the weeks that you are looking for to get placed on a waitlist. Waitlist spots will be filled in the order that they are received.
If you are registering a camper who will require one on one support for the camp go to https://ymcaofcapebreton.punchpass.com and under “All Classes” search for “Special Support Summer Camp Week __” and choose your week. We are asking that families requiring one on one support register for one week only to allow as many campers as possible the opportunity to experience our camp! If you’d like additional weeks please contact Janice.Curnew@cb.ymca.ca and we will accommodate you if additional weeks are available. This will be done on a first come first served basis.
As this is our first year offering online registration, we expect that there will be questions/concerns regarding the process. For this reason, we will be offering support via Google Meet from 11:30-12:30 on both Monday and Tuesday.
