Pickleball Tournament – April 21, 2024
YMCA of Cape Breton will host a Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, April 21st, beginning at 9am.
Players should bring with them water containers and snacks!

Yes, all registrants will be asked what division they wish to register for: Recreation of Competitive
No, we will follow the King of the court rules. (see below) No partner required.
If you have one yes, please bring your paddle. We will have a few paddles available to use.
The Recreation Division will start first with an expected 9am start time with warmups starting at 8:30am. Depending on how many registers, will determine how long each division will run for. (likely that we will start the Competitive Division Games by noontime.) We will notify players by email of expected start times before April 18th.
King of the Court is a type of tournament in which players rotate partners until, ideally, everyone has played with everyone else. At the end you see which individual player wan the most, and that player is anointed King. Courts will be # – Court 1 and Court 2
- Games are timed or first team to 11 points. Winning players will receive one point for every game won.
- The winning team will move up a court and split to pair with a new partner.
- The losing team will move down a court and split to play with a new partner.
- *Rules will be posted the day of the tournament
Registration will close at midnight on Wednesday, April 17th at 5pm.
