Aquatic Fitness

Your body weight is supported by the buoyancy of the water, so you reduce the impact on your joints as you improve your cardiovascular fitness. Led by trained YMCA Instructors, these classes offer a host of benefits for all fitness levels, and you’ll appreciate the ability to control the intensity by modifying surface area, speed, and force of movements.

Aqua Fitness Schedule

Aqua Recovery is a beginner aquatics fitness class for people with limited mobility.  A great class for people recovering from  knee and hip surgery.  This is  a popular treatment for patients with neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions. The goals of this therapy are muscle relaxation, improving joint motion and reducing pain.

Aqua Recovery Schedule

This class is a ‘lighter’ aqua class (no impact) that is geared toward someone who needs to continue to move and be active, but is limited in their motions. Gentle exercise designed for persons with physical limitations such as back problems, arthritis or Fibromyalgia.
